Our 2020 Special Edition Christmas Angel is now available for pre-order! This ornament is the 5th in our annual series and as always, they are a limited edition (only 100 will be made). These precious little ornaments will be ready for pick up/shipping beginning mid-November but we encourage everyone to place their pre-order early as quantities are limited.
When creating this year's design, we truly sat back and dug deep to create a special meaning for our annual Angel ornament. 2020 has been filled with difficult emotions, seemingly unending change and for many... there's been heartbreaking loss, distance, and hardship. But there have also been many reminders of our blessings and the realization of what truly matters... our people, not our possessions. Our memories and the opportunities to make more. The health and wellbeing of our loved ones. The acts of courage, kindness and selflessness that has been required of us all.
2020 has been a year unlike any other we've ever seen and so we were determined to make this year's Special Edition Christmas Angel represent all that we've come through this year and also the hope in our hearts for brighter days ahead.
This year's Angel is made with a baroque shaped Swarovski crystal instead of our usual cones. The facets are simply stunning and catch the light from every angle. We're also offering THREE different colour options (which are also stunningly beautiful as a set): a rich dark pink, emerald green and iridescent. The angels are decorated with bright golden accents, multicoloured Swarovski crystal heads and oversized angel wings.
The final touch is an extra special natural trochus shell (yes, actual shell) wing as a backdrop. This "third wing" is incredibly beautiful with a pearly white finish and etched feathery details. This third wing is symbolic of a "Borrowed Wing" (you may recall our borrowed wing angels earlier in the year). A borrowed wing that has had to carry us in 2020, and a borrowed wing to honour the many Earth Angels who've helped us during our most difficult times this year.
May we never forget the sacrifices that our front line workers have made and the many acts of kindness that we've received, paid forward or been witness to during this pandemic.
Each ornament will be tucked away inside a pretty organza gift bag, ready to give or ready to keep.
All proceeds will be donated to the three charities that we support: The Alberta Cancer Foundation, The Lupus Society of Alberta, and The Angels Anonymous Connection.
